Melting in the heat...

38 degrees in good old Melbourne town today and with no air-con at home and a dodgy fan blowing warm air into my face, one of these pink lemonade margaritas would be heaven right now. Who wants to make it for me?

New house inspiration..

We will be moving into our new home straight after the wedding. Renovations are beginning this month so I have been furiously collecting images, inspirations, colours, furniture and accessory ideas to fill our new home with gorgeousness!!! Because of this, you will probably see me posting many, many, many pics that I'll be trying to use.
I came across this pic and decided I need this room in my house. Or at least the wall colour. I'm thinking this gorgeous soft green paint will look amazing in my work studio/study. This will be a room that I'll be trying to claim as my own and for ME only! Let's see how that goes..

Wedding flowers!

This morning I met with a lovely lovely lady to have a chat about flowers for my upcoming wedding! We went through all my ideas and she was very nice to deal with. Here are some of the images I showed her as inspiration. I have decided on PEONIES. Big fluffy flowers! My absolute favourite! In all white- no greenery.
I'm not a massive fan of structured flowers and I love that she totally got me!
I'm so excited, I can't wait to see them!! Only 8 months to go.....!

Perfect Perfumes

These are my 4 top, all time favourite perfumes.
Gucci 'Flora', Victor & Rolf 'Flowerbomb', Stella McCartney and YSL 'Cinema'.
As you can see, My Stella and Cinema are both empty *hint hint* (if my man is reading this).
I need to buy (or be gifted) replacements ASAP!!!

Hair there and everywhere

I love hair. Long, thick wavy hair. I am still a massive fan of the OMBRE look (darker at the roots, lighter at the ends. Some call it the regrowth effect).
Mine has been like this for a while and I'm finding it very difficult to change it. I feel it is what suits me best. Let's hope this look stays around for a long time. Or at least until I am emotionally prepared for a change.

RIP Whitney

I've spent countless hours in my life listening to Whitney Houston songs. When I was little it would be in front of the mirror with a hairbrush pretending I was her. Whitney songs were always part of my singing lessons, I remember being so proud when I hit the high notes in "I will always love you" during one of them.
"The Bodyguard" has and always will be one of my all time favourite movies. I cry every time.

My connection with Whitney reached a huge and eerie high the night before she died. Away for the weekend with friends, after a few drinks and games of celebrity head and charades, I was asked to sing. But not just any song. A Whitney song. As my voice echoed through the holiday house I felt happiness. It had been a while since I had sung anything, let alone Whitney!! I realised I missed singing and felt a joy come through me. I sang once, twice and was begged for a third time which I happily agreed to. The next morning we heard the news of her passing. And although shocked and saddened by this early end of a legend, I smiled. I felt I had given Whitney my own little tribute. I will never forget what her music has done for me in my life. I will always love her.
